Check out the project's website HERE.
Print-Aid is a European training network initiative for the development of personalized anti-infective medical devices combining printing technologies with antimicrobial functionality. It is composed of nine individual multidisciplinary projects in both academia and industry. Part of the consortium is focused on developing 3-D printed endotracheal and urinary catheters, and femur implants. The rest are focused on finding new compounds for antimicrobial coatings as well as, testing the newly printed devices both in vitro and in vivo. An important part of Print-Aid is also the development of minimum information guidelines and bioinformatics tools for biofilm experiments to improve their reproducibility.
